Managed cloud
The cloud does not run itself: someone has to decide who can open what, confirm that backups run and cancel the licences nobody uses any more. We move your organisation's email, files and servers to the cloud and go on looking after them once the move is done.
Signs you need this
- The organisation's email still sits in free accounts or on an old server.
- Important files are kept on each person's laptop, with no copy anywhere else.
- Licences are still being paid for staff who have left, and nobody can say how many.
Many organisations already pay for cloud services without getting the benefit: forgotten licences, folders shared indiscriminately and accounts belonging to people who left months ago. Others still keep everything on an ageing local server that nobody dares switch off. In both cases the risk is the same: losing data or access at the worst possible moment.
We plan the migration in phases and only switch off the old system once the new one is confirmed to work. Mailboxes, folders and permissions move across so that nobody loses messages or documents, and your staff keep working throughout. Where a server still makes sense, we set it up as a virtual server, sized for the work it has to carry today.
After the move, the environment stays in our care: we manage subscriptions and licences, open and close accounts, confirm that backups run and can be restored, and answer your staff's questions. Data is reachable from anywhere with an internet connection, which serves people working in the field or away from the office.
How we deliver
Survey
We record the email accounts, where files are kept, which servers exist and which licences are being paid for today.
Migration plan
We propose in writing the platform, the sequence of phases and the date of each switchover, before any data moves.
Phased migration
We transfer email, files and permissions and confirm each phase before moving on to the next.
Staff training
We show your staff how to sign in to the new environment and how to share and recover files there.
Ongoing management
We look after accounts, licences and backups, and send regular reports.
What you keep
- A map of the accounts, licences and subscriptions in use
- Email and files migrated, with permissions reviewed
- Administrator access held by your organisation
