Fleet and asset tracking
In a field operation, a vehicle stopped off its route or a machine leaving the site without authorisation costs money every day. We install the trackers and configure the platform so that the information reaches the people who make decisions.
Signs you need this
- Finding out where the vehicles are means phoning the drivers.
- A customer asks when a delivery will arrive and nobody can answer.
- A piece of equipment left the site and nobody noticed in time.
Without data, running a fleet depends on phone calls and sheets filled in by hand. It is hard to tell whether a vehicle has stopped because of a breakdown or a detour, to confirm the time of a delivery or to understand why costs rise from month to month.
We review the operation with your staff: which vehicles and equipment to track, which zones to define and who should receive each alert. We install the tracking devices, set up the authorised zones (geofencing) and the alerts for anything out of the ordinary on the online platform, and make the history of routes and stops available from a computer or a phone.
At the end, we train the people who will use the platform and agree with you which periodic reports will support decisions on routes, vehicle use and maintenance.
How we deliver
Operational review
We agree with your staff what to track, which zones to watch and who receives each alert.
Choice of devices
We recommend the right device for each vehicle or piece of equipment and present the proposal in writing.
Installation
We install the trackers and confirm that each one is sending its position to the platform.
Configuration
We create the authorised zones, the alerts and the agreed reports on the platform.
Training
We show managers how to look up positions, routes and reports, and how to change a zone.
What you keep
- Platform access for each nominated manager
- A list of vehicles and equipment, with the device fitted to each
- Authorised zones and alerts configured
- Periodic reports in the format agreed with your staff
